Call the Meeting to Order

E. Westendorf called a meeting of the School Performance Committee of E.L. Haynes Public Charter School to order on Thursday May 11, 2023 at 3:33 PM.

Approve March Minutes

R. Laine made a motion to approve the minutes from March School Performance Committee Meeting on 03-31-23.
E. Westendorf seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Discussions

A.

PCSB Qualitative Site Review

Chief Academic Officer Rikki Hunt Taylor reminded the committee about the Qualitative Site Review process. The committee then spent time reviewing the results of the QSR and discussing how the school can use the feedback to improve. The committee then discussed how the QSR is likely to affect the 5-year review.

B.

Academic Priorities for 2023-24

Rikki Hunt Taylor described the process of identifying academic priorities based on the successes and challenges of prior year priorities. She then outlined the proposed priorities for the 2023-24 school year. The committee members then shared their reactions and offered feedback about the priorities.

C.

Middle States Accreditation Process

Director of Data Analysis Stu Smither Wulsin shared the process for receiving accreditation from Middle States with the process culminating in fall 2024. The committee provided recommendations on how to best approach the task.

D.

Launching a Teacher Advisory Group

CAO Hunt Taylor shared plans for forming an Teacher Advisory Group and outlined the purpose for the group. The committee offered advice for how to make sure the group is successful and helpful.

E.

Inclusivity and Belonging Plan

Rikki Hunt Taylor outlined the cultural celebrations and other ways to support and education students around inclusivity and belonging.
