Amy presented the academic report discussing staffing, and new hires starting for the upcoming school year. 

Observations and feedback will continue throughout the year. Discussed training requirements for testing. BC Consulting Group Urban Education counseling offered for students/classrooms.  Rebuilding community and culture 5th graders had a bullying presentation.  This will happen until end of the year and resume next school. 

Attendance has been consistent averaging 90%

Students that are frequently absent are performing poorly academically. 

Discussed home visits and calls made to scholars that have chronic absenteeism. 

Suspensions and expulsions history has decreased when compared to other months.

Why did GLC decrease with seeing students?  Teachers have new way of handing classroom behaviors. 

One expulsion pending and four students are facing expulsion for cyberbullying.

GLC motivators are gone now students write reflection sheets instead of copied print-offs. 

Amy discussed Testing Data 37% passed IRead higher than last year's scores for second graders does not count. Retakes will take place the 2nd week of May.
