We will continue to develop our educational and arts aesthetic by expanding our arts experiences, exposure, and partnerships

Edison would like to have January 3 as an E-Learning day for our students which would be in line with IPS's calendar. After disaggregating NWEA Middle of the Year data, Edison needs an additional day to plan out detailed enrichment lesson plans for the semester. We concluded as a team, that used effectively, this day, January 3rd, could have an enormous impact for our student achievement. Unlike IPS, this will be an in-person workday for staff. Edison would like to propose that the board allow Edison to have January 3, 2022 as an asynchronous learning day for students and an in-person enrichment planning day for staff.
