Open Discussion
Tia also asked about Ed Committee goals. Nicole reminded us that OEI will now require updates on how we track our goals for the upcoming school year.
The committee identified that mornings, ideally June 17th, would work best for Learning Walks. AD will propose a few dates to the PATH leadership team.

Discussed evaluations for AH & Board.
The committee flagged that retention might be an issue over the summer. We discussed how the co-teacher model could mitigate some of the burnout noted during staff interviews.
Tia shared additional questions she hoped to ask the PATH team re: the co-teacher model.
Nicole also shared that we need to relay our committee questions to Chris + the PATH team so they can share updates by our next Board meeting.
We need follow-up with the PATH team re: iRead/iLearn.
AD will craft an email with these specific questions.
No Board meeting in July, & our next Board meeting is August (Board Retreat).
For future cadences, it might be more helpful for the PATH team to be available for summer meetings (like procedural learning, exceptional learners). Our committee could really help the PATH team grow over the summer and poke holes in what they're thinking BEFORE the school year kicks off.
Q's:
1. Update on iRead - where did students land & what's the plan moving forward?
2. More specifics around co-teaching model. As you are hiring MORE people, what is your plan for them, and how will you use them effectively?
3. How can the committee support PATH as they are gearing up for SY26-27?
4. Why did you switch away from a 'co-teaching' prototype model in the past?
5. How can you prepare teachers to maximize the value of an additional set of hands in the classroom?
7. Can we help teachers with managing classrooms?
8. Can the board participate in 'Learning Walks' during different quarters, and what would our presence in the building allow us to see additional components to provide feedback, and is there any value for the PATH team?
9. What are master & apprentice teachers, and how will PATH intentionally plan for these different roles to affect student outcomes?
Our biggest push is knowledge transfer, and how can the board support PATH?
