After EXTENSIVE research into Foundation options, the Finance Committee accepts that our best option is a standard "foundation" that will be a separate legal entity but its assets will roll up into RTHS' on consolidated financial statements. This will give us the option to keep accrued funds separate from the state funds for safekeeping. It will also allow us to offer donors the chance to donate to the Foundation with perhaps specific long-term goals. It will NOT allow us to take out funds and transfer them to the operating funds of the school. Our consolidated statements would treat that as an expense. |
