Call the Meeting to Order
Teri Harrison called a meeting of the board of directors of Menlo Park Academy Governing Board to order on Friday Aug 12, 2022 at 4:16 PM.
II. Action Items
A.
New Hires
Teri Harrison made a motion to hire Jacob Kulas as a teacher with an annual salary of $41,000.
Twana Rogers seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Teri Harrison made a motion to move Nicole D'Amico to a building substitute, changing her position for annual salary of $30,000.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Teri Harrison made a motion to hire Sara Kim as teacher with an annual salary of $40,500.
Suzanne McFarland seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Teri Harrison made a motion to hire Ariel Bly as the Spanish teacher for an annual salary of $41,000.
Suzanne McFarland seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Curricula Materials
Teri Harrison made a motion to approve the order of Dimension math workbooks for $10,000.
Suzanne McFarland seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
C.
Online Courses
Teri Harrison made a motion to authorize Sh'Annon to execute an agreement with Edmentum for Algebra 2, Pre Calc and Foreign Language for $60,000.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
No Spanish, Chinese or Mandarin. It is not the year to add something on and we will work on this for next year.

Enrollment Tool
Teri Harrison made a motion to authorize Carol Ryan to execute agreement with the enrollment tool, Enrollhand for $1,500 a month, cancel any time.
Suzanne McFarland seconded the motion.
The board would like to see a report in three months on how it is doing and if it is effective.

SEL Services Agreement
Teri Harrison made a motion to table SEL Service Agreement.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
F.
22-23 Program Guide
Teri Harrison made a motion to approve changes to the Program Guide regarding encore and humanities.
Suzanne McFarland seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
