Call the Meeting to Order
Teri Harrison called a meeting of the board of directors of Menlo Park Academy Governing Board to order on Wednesday Feb 8, 2017 at 5:40 PM.
II. Executive Session
A.
Executive Session
Fraser Hamilton Sr made a motion to enter into executive session to discuss the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official. A roll call vote was taken.
Cathy Aldrich seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Julie Ganim and Jeff Jaroscak were invited to join the executive session. Entered executive session at 5:42pm, exited at 6:14pm.
III. Transition Team
A.
Operational Responsibilities
Fraser Hamilton Sr made a motion to increase the base of Julie Ganim's agreement to $30,000 annually, pro-rated, and retroactively applied to February 1, 2017.
Cathy Aldrich seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
Recognition of Ms. Ganim taking on additional operational responsibilities and overseeing the transition of items in the business office.
B.
Agreement
Fraser Hamilton Sr made a motion to table the approval of the agreement.
Cathie Leimbach seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
C.
Hire
Fraser Hamilton Sr made a motion to table the new hire.
Melissa Vlasak seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
IV. Other Business
A.
Development Database
Cathie Leimbach made a motion to approve the development proposal as presented, for an amount up to $5,000.
Cathy Aldrich seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
V. Closing Items
A.
Adjourn Meeting
Fraser Hamilton Sr made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Cathy Aldrich seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 PM.
