R. Hunt called a meeting of the board of directors of Carolina Charter Academy to order on Wednesday Feb 11, 2026 at 7:03 PM.

K. Shalkowski made a motion to approve the minutes from CCA Monthly Open Session Board Meeting on 01-14-26.
A. Smith seconded the motion.

We are in good standing, no issues, comments or concerns to report.
IV. Administration Report
A.
Principle/Lead Admin Report
- Enrollment 805 students
- Celebrations: Ms. Rundgren (Beg Teacher of the Year), Winter Sports Banquet, Student of the Month Program, PTO Staff Appreciation
- Open Enrollment underway
- Spring Sports have started
- Winter MAP and NCCI testing is completed with noted gains in many areas
- Passed Health Department Inspection
- Working on updating Grievance Policy

Vote on Business from Closed Session
K. Shalkowski made a motion to Approve contracts as discussed in closed session.
D. Gibson seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
R. Hunt made a motion to Approve 2026-2027 Calendar with 3pm Dismissal Time.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM.

In recognition of Amanda Rundgren, 3rd grade teacher, selected as a finalist for Beginning Teacher of the Year award and recognized tonight by Rhonda Dillingham. Ms. Rundgren will attend a week of leadership training in March and the winner will be announced on March 12th, 2026.
