Call the Meeting to Order

R. Hunt called a meeting of the board of directors of Carolina Charter Academy to order on Wednesday Nov 12, 2025 at 7:03 PM.

Ryan read the Mission Statement of CCA

Approve Minutes

K. Shalkowski made a motion to Approve minutes from October meeting.
D. Gibson seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Officer Reports

A.

Chair's Report

Everything going well

Discussed future strategic planning for needs moving forward

 

B.

Treasurer's Report

October reports sent out to Board. In good standing. Waiting for local funding to hit for the school year. The board treasurer/chair of the finance committee reviewed the reports with finance committee.

III. Administration Report

A.

Principle/Lead Admin Report

Items discussed/updates include:

-PMR 2 (Principal Monthly Report) discussed with report of 816 students

-61 EL Students

-Cybersafe Parenting held an assembly with 4th-8th grade students on safe technology use

-Angier Town Hall CCA students lead pledge of allegiance

-Athletic update - Volleyball team came in second place in conference. Highest so far at CCA

-Discussed Wall of Honor for Veterans Day

-Sweet Treat Night was a success. Thanks to all involved!

-Beta Club Induction occurred

-Thanks to Mrs. Hildebrand for CCA Tour and High School Information Night

-90% of Teachers Licensed!

-Attending Safe School Summit

-Angier Parade  December 6 at 10am
-EC Headcount at 76

IV. Closed Session (pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(5) and (6)

Moving to Closed session

R. Hunt made a motion to Move to Closed Session pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(5) and (6).
K. Shalkowski seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

V. Closing Items

A.

Vote on Business from Closed Session

K. Shalkowski made a motion to Add Claudia Fracchiolla as a Board Member.
R. Hunt seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
K. Shalkowski made a motion to Approve Retesting during School Year.
D. Gibson seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
K. Shalkowski made a motion to Approve the ability to look into modulars.

K. Shalkowski made a motion to Approve a Strategic Planning Committee.
R. Hunt seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
