• Need to identify our Top 3 Choices.  If Hogan does not receive one of our top 3, then we can find another way to identify our new board member.

• Next Step:  After a new board member is in place, we need to begin a succession plan for future officers on the board.  
   

II.   Focus of the Governance Committee

1. Agenda for the June 27th Board Meeting to review
2. Superintendent Evaluation:  The board completed one a few months ago but was it the final, official version?
3. Forecast for July 25th Board Meeting:  Deep Dive into Academic Data
   • New Focus Areas and Goals
   • SQR Data
   • Breakdown to Goal (benchmarks)
4. Board Meeting Evaluation and Reflections
   • At the May Board meeting we stated the Directors still wanted to complete a survey after each meeting.  We also stated we would further discuss how to remind and reflect on data received.

5. Review of the 2022-2023 Monitoring Plan
   • This is the document the Commission uses for additional oversight after Renewal.  It is in draft form.  
      

                          Why is extra monitoring required?

• Tier 3; history of low performance
• No FY20 MAP data from current team
• To make sure the school is on track for FY23 goals.
• To build trust with DESE and community about this renewal
