|
The Missouri Charter Public School Association has been working with charter schools to provide information regarding COVID-19. They have recommended that each school consider adding policies to cover these new and unusual times/circumstances. For your review, please find nine new policies which we'd like the Board to review, discuss and approve. Please note that several of these policies are temporary in nature, meant to be sunset once the COVID crisis is over. Here is a list of the policies:

| C. | Parent/Student Handbook | |

Each year we ask the Board to review the Parent and Student Handbook. This handbook has been written to provide important information concerning specific rules, policies, and procedures related to the safety and operation of our schools. Parents and students are asked to review the handbook, be familiar with and abide by the expectations, and sign a School-Parent-Student compact indicating agreement. This year, there is also a statement for virtual learning on page 43. Technology forms we are asking families to sign can be found on pages 44 – 49. For more information about the virtual learning educational program, our families should refer to the Hogan Preparatory Academy Reopening Plan.

Hogan Preparatory Academy is committed to keeping our school family safe, doing our part in the community to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and offering rigorous and engaging academics to our students. This discussion item will provide the Board more information in regards to the reopening plan from the district and school perspective.

The bylaws state the HPA Board of Directors shall hold an annual meeting on the second Monday of September. It is being recommended the BOD hold the annual meeting on the fourth Monday in September on September 28, 2020 at its regular meeting.
