Two Board members, Amy Price and David Forbes are finishing their 3-year terms at the end of June, 2019. Both were nominated at the May 30, 2019 meeting, to serve a new 3-year terms. The Board will vote on each candidate's nomination to serve a new 3-year term beginning July, 2019.

The calendar adds back two Board meetings not held in 2018/19 and includes two Board retreats and a special Board meeting (September 12) to vote on the the middle school's charter renewal. The only month without a regularly scheduled board meeting is January, although there is a full-day Board retreat scheduled for Sunday, January 26.

The LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) for is a tool for LEA's to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. Local educational agencies applying for ESSA (Every Child Succeeds Act) funds must complete the LCAP Federal Addendum (Addendum) as part of meeting the requirements for the ESSA LEA Plan. In the past, LEA's had to create a separate LEA plan. The new requirement requires LEA's to complete, and their respective Boards to pass, three documents to receive state and federal funding: The LCAP, ConApp, and the Federal Addendum.
