This revised technology policy addresses the state's mandate to ban or extremely limit cellphone usage, per the Phone-Free Schools Act (AB 3216), effective July 1, 2026. AoA also included restrictions on other electronics such as headphones and smart glasses that were not addressed in the previous policy.
