The Academy of Alameda Board of Directors votes to accept this board officers slate for a one year term beginning July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 as presented.

The 26-27 Board Calendar was revised to add the August 2, 2026 retreat and change the May 2027 board meeting date from Thursday, May 20, 2027 to Wednesday, May 19, 2027 to not conflict with the final schedule.

This new (mandatory) Student Wellness policy defines how AoA will cares about and promotes student health and wellness through education, nutrition, and education.

This new (mandatory) Parent and Family Engagement policy details how AoA does/will meaningfully engage and communicate with parents and families in the school community to support student achievement and a positive school environment.

This new Motorized Scooters and E-Bikes policy clarifies which which motorized scooters and e-bikes are allowed on AoA's campus by students since you must be 16 years or older with a valid drivers license to operate them.

This new (mandatory) Extreme Weather policy details how AoA supports students during extreme weather days.

This new Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy details AoA's stance and appropriate usage on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in education.

This revised technology policy addresses the state's mandate to ban or extremely limit cellphone usage, per the Phone-Free Schools Act (AB 3216), effective July 1, 2026. AoA also included restrictions on other electronics such as headphones and smart glasses that were not addressed in the previous policy.
