Christa Billings present for the report.  The playground is moved to the new location.  Working with the PTO to get volunteers to help with recess.  Auction ticket sales ends Friday.  Buy tickets now!  The Board is working with a group on a mural for the back of the building.  Board joined the Chamber of Commerce for networking and fundraising.  Next Board meeting is April 18.  One open Board position.  Contact Christa for details.

Coming to Arco Iris April 22-26.  Look for volunteer opportunities coming up.  Linda Letra supports bilingual programs, schools, and families with award-winning bilingual and Spanish children's literature from multiple sources that include independent authors, Latina-owned publishers, and authentic works from the Americas. Our specialties are curated collections, classroom libraries, and special orders. Founder Rachel Kimbrow is dedicated to equity through literacy and twenty years of experience as a teacher and instructional specialist in both the US and Latin America. Connecting bilingual programs, schools, and families to high-quality books is a lifelong passion!

Mod Pizza restaurant night is May 7.  

Continue to drop your bottle drop bags off at collection locations.  Collection event will be upcoming.

Stock the breakroom is next Wednesday for 3rd and 4th grade.  

Assistant Director day was April 1.  Perla was thankful for her flowers and gift card.

May 1 is Director appreciation day.  

Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10.  Tentative Plans include: 

• Sunday afternoon: chalk the walk for our teachers (weather permitting) 
•  Monday: Put up posters on each teacher's door. (Our hope is that this year the room parents could help the kids from each classroom sign a poster for the teachers in the weeks prior that could be taped up that Monday... We would want to check with Jessica Chavez about this) 
• Tuesday: Kids wear teacher's favorite color that day
• Wednesday: Catered lunch (Ideally Amelia's from last year)  
• Thursday: Mandy's sister has a plant nursery. She said she could get us a good deal on potted succulents for each teacher. They could pick them up in the break room... the sign would say "thank you for helping our students grow" or something like that. 
• Friday: The Hillsboro Hops have an Educator Appreciation Night on May 29th. We were hoping to raise the money to buy a ticket for each teacher. This would be, of course, after the auction. tickets are 15-20$ per ticket so $300-400 total.  We'd give them those tickets that day.

The project went well.  Thank you to all volunteers.  We're hoping for one more Art Lit project this year.   Look for upcoming volunteer opportunities.

There will be an evaluation going out to Room Parents for feedback.  Look for it in May.
