Call the Meeting to Order
S. Zephirin called a meeting of the Development Committee of Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School to order on Thursday Jan 11, 2024 at 6:03 PM.

Approve Minutes: October 5th
S. Zephirin made a motion to approve the minutes from Development Committee Meeting on 11-09-23.
A. Kusaba seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Development
A.
Fundraising Gap and Goals
- Christa reports lots of people volunteered to help with auction
B.
Grants
- Ed Fund Current grant applications: working on Nike grants
- Team feels positive about regular check ins with Ed Fund. Very helpful in supporting with goal setting, prioritizing, etc.
- Did not receive grant that parent helped apply for
- Michelle submitted the Early Literacy grant last week
- Perla and Jesus to work on grant for training for Perla and Luis for school safety needs
C.
Community Relations/PR
- Adreana's "Brush Strokes of Inclusion" project to Beaverton Chamber of Commerce was selected!
- Team will look specifically at fundraising and installation of a mural
- Adreana to connect Luis and Leadership Beaverton Class of 23-24
- Jesus open to also scheduling/planning an "unveiling event" for the mural. Goal to finish in early May
- Adreana update on ATDLE national recognition
- Jesus to review the self evaluation tool, Jesus and Adreana to talk about next steps. Criteria just released last week.
- Adreana shared benefits of Arco joining the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce.
- Updates on Preschool outreach
- Materials printed, ready for distribution
- Perla plans to personally deliver materials, will make another round of offers to speak with preschool families directly.
- Jessica Warner did some outreach to Nike, Intel re: tabling events. No one is currently planning to hold fairs this year, or in the future.

Action Items
- Update meeting time for March 14th for 6-7pm (Sarah)
- Adreana to invite the CEO of Beaverton Chamber of Conference to next meeting. Sarah to add this to start of the meeting agenda.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM.
