Move-a-thon
Amazing and a huge success! We raised approximately $64,000 total without corporate matches, $76,500 with corporate matches. It can take 6-12 months to collect all of the corporate matches. Thank all of the teachers for all of their involvement.
The company does take a percentage of the money raised, but we aren't able to put on a program of this caliber ourselves. We haven't been able to raise this amount of money not using this style of company. The more money raised, the smaller the percentage that goes to the company. We will be working with the company to change some of the structure of the program to potentially reduce the individual goals. Fundraising is never completely equitable, but we are doing the best that we can. Please contact the PTO if you would like to help with this in the future.
Maestra Perez's class was first place raising around $8000, Maestro Javier places second, raising around $6000. Those classes will get a popcorn or popsicle party. Three teachers won the raffle for an Amazon gift card. All teachers will get a gift for helping us with this.
Free dress day is coming, as is Director sundae.

Volunteer Interest Form/Volunteering
Book Fair the first week in December, same room as last year. Need more volunteers in order to allow more time for teachers. Look for more information to come and volunteer hours in ParentBooker.
Family Ambassador Program: still working on how this program will work since the teachers were overwhelmed when they arrived. Looking at more of a reference book style ambassador program.
Art Literacy Program: put on by BSD, we used to have a coordinator/parents for this. BSD send supplies and each class does an art project. We can join mid-program. Need to pick up supplies, get some coordinator training and get volunteers. Trying to get this going. Art is geared toward each grade level and you have different artists each year.
Room Parent Program created this year. Will be meeting with teachers to see what teachers need and let them know how to utilize the room parent. Goal is one celebration per semester to be coordinated between room parent and teacher.
We're working on posting volunteer forms that you can fill out to express interest/availability.
If you have experience or interest in grant writing, please contact the PTO. There are a lot of grants that we could be applying for, but we need volunteers to make this happen. Looking to form a committee for this.
Room Parents will be 3 for each class, random generator for any parents waitlisted (for classes with over 3 parents expressing interest)
1st Vasquez: waitlist Melissa, Stephanie
2nd Guillen Diaz: waitlist Dariano, Mitsuyo
4th/5th Molero: waitlist Rachel
Room parents will be announced once they accept the position and sign the contract.

Fundraisers
Restaurant Night at Papa Murphy's raised $526.75
Next Restaurant Night will be Maria Bonita on November 9, all day. Address: 3893 SW Hall Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005. Includes eat-in and to-go orders.
Sock Fundraiser coming! Ordering will be in November for delivery before Christmas.
We don't have a fundraiser schedule, but we have the Move-a-thon in October and the Auction in May. Most other fundraisers are as we have someone interested in leading it. May do a soft goods fundraiser in the spring. Bottle drop can be done anytime. Also Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer rewards, Boxtops for Education. Look on the school website for more fundraiser information. Fundraiser website is updated with a Gap Fund thermometer for how much we've raised. Gap Fund is $300,000. Next Familias Unidas meeting will cover a lot of this information. Info about a cultural non-profit: https://culturaltrust.org/get-involved/donate/
