Financial/ Fundraising update
Maria Bonita fundraiser was on November 17. We had 38 orders totaling $2,089.15. Our portion of this is $522.29.
Playground fundraiser current total is $31,089.94
We have raised $6,775.94 for the playground since mid-August.
Next fundraiser is at Mod Pizza on Wednesday, December 22.
Sock fundraiser is just the Arco Iris design this time; socks are $16 each and $6 will go toward the school. We are encouraging people to buy socks to donate to staff so that each staff person can have a pair.
Move-a-thon recap: 315 students registered, 286 received a pledge. 78% of students participated. Last year corporate donations were over $3000; this year the corporations were over $9000. Raised over $62,000 plus corporate matching.
Bottle drop just finished the holiday fundraiser and we raised $315.
Spirit wear is coming this Friday! We will be working on getting the Greater Giving website up to sell the merchandise and possibly an in-person event. The website is not active yet, but we will let you know when it is.

Community Enrichment

Volunteer Update
Lots of volunteer opportunities. Remember to sign up for Parent Booker. If you have difficulty signing up on your phone, try from a computer instead. Every family is required to volunteer 20 hours per year. Vaccinated volunteers are allowed in the classroom now. If a teacher requests volunteers in the classroom, you can volunteer for this as long as you have supplied a copy of your vaccination card to the Volunteer Coordinators. Teacher Wish Lists are also getting posted to Parent Booker. These are updated periodically with new items or items that have been purchased.
Committees: Teacher Appreciation, Spirit Wear, Auction, Development, Yearbook, Safe Routes to School, etc. Feel free join any of these committees.
Volunteer of the Month: Eric Grant has been translating documents and at meetings. He is also on the Safe Routes to School and Yearbook committees.
Look for upcoming volunteer opportunities for drop off/pick up and front office help.

Ruby Bridges Park and Walk
28 students participated. Walk took about 13 minutes. If you would like to continue to do the walk to school, please contact the PTO so that we can continue this. Remember to use the crossing at school and please don't cut through the parking lot.
II. Other Business
A.
Encanto
New Disney movie that releases this weekend. You can purchase tickets thru AMC Theater or Fandango and this event will be Saturday at 7pm at AMC Progress Ridge.
B.
Save the Date! Auction is March 12, 2022
Our annual auction will be March 12, 2022. At this time the auction will be virtual. If we are allowed to meet in-person, it will be a hybrid event and the in-person part would be at the school. We need help contacting sponsors. There is a list of past sponsors and a script to make this easy to volunteer. Let Christa Billings know if you are interested.
