Chipotle restaurant night was highest we ever had.  Raised of $700.  

Upcoming restaurant night is Maria Bonita on Nov 17, 12-9pm.  If we are willing and able to do cash transactions, the restaurant will increase the donation amount to 25%.  Will have a smaller menu, like last time; drinks are included.  Can be dine-in or take-out.  

New playground total: over $30,000 raised so far.  Total playground cost is around $150,000.  Most of this cost is the foam base layer that we need to use due to the wetland area. Most grants look for funds raised to be around 50%, so we'll pursue more grants as we approach that amount.

Sock Fundraiser - Arco Iris design only.  Hoping to get fundraiser completed before Thanksgiving so that we have socks before Christmas break.  Arco Iris design was created with Hoop Swag, a local company in Sherwood, and that is what we will be selling.

Move-a-thon Recap - Good participation by all students in all grades.  Raised around $62,000.  

Other ways to easily donate: Set up your Amazon Smile account and select Arco Iris as the recipient. Also look out for opportunities on Giving Tuesday, especially for corporate matching.

Spirit Wear has been ordered.  Initial sales will be similar to a 'Sidewalk Sale' and then remaining supply will be online sales.  Supply issues are causing a delay in delivery, but it is coming.

Teacher Appreciation Week - would like to do something the week before conferences.  Still waiting on more information.  

Volunteer Coordinators are busy but they will respond to all messages.  Requirements to volunteer: must have a background check through Arco Iris (may take up to 10 days), sign volunteer expectations form, create Parent Booker account and register your students so you are notified for class specific opportunities.  Parent Booker is the website where volunteer opportunities are posted.  Not many onsite volunteer opportunities, but if you are an onsite volunteer you will need to submit proof of Covid vaccination.  Teacher wish lists are posted on Parent Booker; you can sign up to donate.  Currently recruiting for a number of committees.  Shout out to everyone who has volunteered up to now.  We've logged over 200 volunteer hours so far.  Shout out to Ruth Ferguson who has completed the goal of 20 volunteer hours.  Thanks to Ellen Morris for coordinating the uniform exchange event at the start of the school year.  

Stock the Break Room - starting with older grades first, but each grade will have one month of stocking the break room with teacher requests.

Coordinating a day to honor Ruby Bridges on her first walk to school.  Students will meet at 99 Ranch and walk along the trail, not along Hall.  Please arrive by 8:00am so that the walk to school can start by 8:05am in order to arrive on time.  

Arco Iris founder Mary Taylor is inviting everyone to attend the symphony with her on February 27, 2pm.  She will cover half the cost to attend for a limited number of seats.  Current limit is 25 people, but let Yessenia know and we may be able to get more tickets.  This is an outside of school event.
