The board welcomes input from the public. Please follow the written public comment procedure by signing in, filling out the public comment form and stating your name at the podium when called by the board chair. Each person is allowed three minutes to speak. In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, the board is not allowed to discuss items that are not on the agenda and will not engage with the public during public comment. The board will direct the superintendent to follow up on any items that arise during public comment as appropriate.

Middle  & High School Future Problem Solving:

  • When: March 18-20
  • Where: Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center
    20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood, WA 98292
  • How Long: 3 days (arrive at the camp ~2pm on the 18th and depart the camp ~2pm on the 20th)
  • Reason: Future Problem Solvers State Bowl for the 1 qualifying team to compete for a place at the International Competition.
  • Students: MS- 4 Students 7th & 8th graders / HS 4 students (all freshmen)
  • Chaperones: Kristen Anderson and Kari Beyer do not have a number for this yet, we are sending out the "please chaperone!" letters this week.

 

Elementary School Future Problem Solving: Kristen said this is not being funded by the district, but I thought since it is still the CERES FPS team, they would still need the approval.

  • When: March 18-20

High School Knowledge Bowl:

  • When: March 20-21st
  • Where: Competition is at the Wenatchee High School. I am unsure on the Hotel yet, but I am meeting with Carrianne and Elizabeth on Monday to discuss that!
  • How Long: 1.5 days (Leave CERHS ~5pm Friday for Wenatchee Hotel. Leave Wenatchee H.S. to come back to CERHS ~2pm on Saturday)
  • Reason: Knowledge Bowl State competition for the 1 qualifying team to compete against the other 2b regional winners. 
  • Students: 6 students (Freshmen and Sophomores)
  • Chaperones: I am the chaperone for this one.
  I. Donation from Roslyn Theatre
   
  • 3 Donated Movie ticket memberships in the amount of $495.00 each Total $ 1485.00
  • 3 Grade level fieldtrips to the Movies + 8 Chaperones, tickets donated Total $2850.00
    • Total Donation from Roslyn Theatre =$ 4335.00
