Chair Fiorentino conducted a roll call of all Trustees and University staff in attendance at the meeting.

Call the Meeting to Order

M. Fiorentino, Jr. called a meeting of the board of trustees of Fitchburg State University to order on Tuesday Jul 2, 2024 at 12:03 PM.

Chairman Fiorentino welcomed everyone. He stated the purpose of the meeting was to go into Executive Session to discuss potential litigation. 

II. Executive Session to Discuss Threatened Litigation

A.

VOTE (60-23/24)

J. Flanagan made a motion to enter into executive session in accordance with MGL c. 30A, Section 21(a)3 to discuss litigation strategy with respect to imminently threatened and demonstrably likely litigation by a faculty member against the university where an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigation position of the university. The Board will not return to open session.
L. Barrieau seconded the motion.

M. Fiorentino read the motion. 

The board VOTED to approve the motion.
