D. Phillips called a meeting of the board of trustees of Fitchburg State University to order on Thursday Apr 11, 2024 at 8:03 AM.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 AM.

Chair Phillips welcomed Dr. Karim Ismaili to the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Ismaili gave a brief overview of his background and explained why he is interested in the presidency at Fitchburg State.
Board members then engaged in a wide-ranging discussion with Dr. Ismaili, covering such topics as student success (academics and co-curricular), diversity and inclusion, academic innovation/planning and faculty engagement, financial management, strategic enrollment, community relations/advancement, and trustee relations.
Chair Phillips thanked Dr. Ismaili.
