J. Washington called a meeting of the Governance Committee Committee of Athlos Jefferson Parish to order on Wednesday Aug 21, 2024 at 5:42 PM.

Ms. Washington led a review of the first half of the bylaws.
Suggested updates:
- Amend the Principal Office and Registered Office to match what we have listed on the Secretary of State.
- II. A. by reason of being or ha, ng been a Director of the Corporation.
- II. C. Swap from starting years version to ongoing.
- P. 6, Letter F. Update to include virtual meeting criteria.

- V. C. Staff can join Board. Board can't join staff.
- B. Books and Records. 1 - 3 Clarify in virtual form and can be printed out upon request.
- Moving forward - all contracts ratify with the board. Change to $25,000.
Email final draft edits to all committee members. Present proposed changes at next board meeting for board vote.

Ms. Wheeler shared that the Family Handbook was combined and posted online. The updates from the new mandates are in the process of being reviewed and should be completed in the next 2 weeks.
