E. Ketchens called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Athlos Jefferson Parish to order on Wednesday Sep 7, 2022 at 5:05 PM.

Approve Minutes from March meeting
II. Action Items

Candidate Interview
Ms. Chambers was introduced to the committee. Ms Ketchens and Ms. Wright were invited to ask questions.
Ms Chambers shared her experience as an educator and principal.
The committee recommended to the board she be appointed.
III. Discussion Items
A.
School Resource Officer
Ms. Martin shared a slide deck about information about having a security officer on the campus.
Questions about discipline...Resource officers are not to be involved with discipline or any other aspect of the school other than security.
This item should go to the finance committee to see if it is feasible.
