Sarah presented the most recent appeal process edits to the Discipline & Expulsion Policy.  The committee discussed the hearing officer role and assignment.  They asked that we research who other type 2 charters use as their hearing officer and what resources the state offers for the hearing officer.  

1. Create a Board Handbook.
2. Finalize the update of all policies in alignment with the state checklist.
3. Revise Safety Crisis Plan.
4. Review other policies that are in need of updating.
5. Review that all job descriptions and evaluations are complete for all positions and accessible to board members. (determine committee this falls under)

The committee discussed the sample handbook chapters to determine which to include in the handbook we are creating.

We could consider storing everything in the "Documents" section of Board on Track.

Goal:  Make this a resource for Athlos Board members (not repeat information from other resources).  Highlight the unique Athlos topics, include a quick summary on the external resources with links to collect further detail.

Consider reviewing the ongoing training process for board members with accountability measures. Maybe an executive committee function?
