A member of the KIPP MA Team shared YouthTruth results. He gave a high-level overview of student groups and administration.
Strengths included sense of belonging, while student culture was an area for growth.
This is the clearest/fairest baseline year, as more grades took it compared to in years past.
The team is putting together focus groups to help make meaning and propose solutions as a way to follow up on the data.
A member of the KIPP MA Team then reviewed family survey results.
A member of the committee drew attention to the last question on the survey regarding "2 positive interactions" with staff.
It was suggested that we should add questions around whether families believe their student is currently reading and/or performing math on grade-level.
A member of the committee asked if teachers complete a survey that addresses family engagement, and a member of the KIPP MA Team said they could share relevant TNTP questions at a future meeting.
