Meeting Format
Whether in person or online, the public is welcome to attend Board/Committee Meetings and have access to meeting minutes. Meetings are held once a month and additionally, as determined by the Board/Committee Chair. All meeting Agendas are posted on the school website at least 48 hours in advance of each public meeting.

During the meeting, the Board and its committees follow the published agenda. Gallery members are not part of the formal discussion or deliberations.  Those wishing to speak at a meeting are asked to follow our Privilege of the Floor Policy. To request to speak at a meeting, please complete the following google form before the start of the meeting.

Kathleen Crawford called a meeting of the board of trustees of Foxborough Regional Charter School to order on Thursday May 2, 2024 at 8:03 AM.

II. Policy

A.

Bullying Intervention and Prevention Plan

Ms. Foley presented the second reading of the bullying and intervention policy including the following highlights and discussion:

  • While the policy outlines guidance, the procedures implement the guidance.
  • The procedures define the specific timeframe for action of investigation to be completed ten days following the submission of a bullying complaint.
  • The policy will be presented to DESE for approval, and the updated procedures will be presented to the Board for informational purposes at the next Board meeting.
  • Copies of the investigation are distributed to the building and central office.
  • Information is included for parents to appeal the decision to DESE.
  • The appeals committee is not involved in any such appeals and is handled at the state level.
  • A section speaks to the specific obligations with regard to special ed students, 504, LGBTQ+ and students that identify as non-binary.

Vote on Bullying and Intervention Program

Matthew Yezukevich made a motion to accept the bullying policy as presented.
Badawi Dweik seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Matthew Yezukevich made a motion to adjourn to executive session not to return to open session.
