Meeting Format
Whether in person or online, the public is welcome to attend Board Meetings and have access to meeting minutes. Meetings are held once a month and additionally, as determined by the Board Chair. All meeting Agendas are posted to the school website at least 48 hours in advance of each public meeting.

During the meeting, the Board follows the published agenda and works through business. Audience members are not part of the formal discussion or deliberations, but may raise their hand to add brief comment or ask clarifying questions. Meetings start promptly on time as noted on the agenda.

B. Call the Meeting to Order

Badawi Dweik called a meeting of the Facilities Committee of Foxborough Regional Charter School to order on Thursday Jun 23, 2022 at 8:00 AM.

II. Facilities

A. Open projects

Solar Panels - Tom Philbin, a solar panel expert, provided us with information during the facilities committee meeting. He introduces himself and explains a few projects he is working on. He highly recommends solar panels to save money. There are national grid grants available. He suggests we go into a power purchase agreement. Tom recommended a few companies. He said we can roll solar panels into a new roof. There would be separate companies (solar and roofing). We are not eligible for "DOER" because we are a charter school, but we can get rebates from our utility companies. There may be pooling of water on a flat roof so we would need to look into that. Tom can connect with Studio Umbro. Tom will provide us with a proposal for the solar panel work.

Fiber optic - Keith Moan states it is imperative for network security. We are vulnerable otherwise. We can move forward with it if it's necessary, and not necessarily use FY22 funds.

ES Roof - materials got delivered the morning of 6/23/22. Construction will begin 6/24/22 and be done by 6/25/22

ES Intercom - the project will begin 6/27/22 and be complete before 7/1/22.

Yellow house demo - contract signed; all set for work to begin soon

ES Entrance Door - this project will begin in July

HS Staff Lounge wall demo to accommodate servery ovens will be done in house in the month of July

ES Build-out (converting open space into two offices) - occurring in July. Dan Connelly will do a walk through with Kevin. Work to be completed before first week in August.

ES Flooring - Materials arrive 6/27/22. Work will be completed in one month.
