Update 25MAY2022 School Stay Put Order

  • Four Staff members reported hearing a message about an active shooter over the radios.
  • Police we contacted and instructed FRCS to "Stay Put".  The school has a process in place to handle several types of emergencies and those processes were activated.
  • Police told all other schools in Foxborough to "Stay Put"
  • State and Foxborough Police were on site quickly and were able to clear the buildings quickly
  • The Police remained onsite after the incident to investigate. The investigation is still on going.
  • After the incident the police have been on campus several times to debrief and recommend communication changes.  The school is adjusting the communications that go out in the event of a future emergency so that families can be more timely/better informed.
  • The District Administration and Board would like to thank the Police for their quick response and professional approach that lead to the building being cleared so quickly in order to restore calm in the building.
