Call the Meeting to Order

R. Sapp called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Pataula Charter Academy, Inc (Serving Pataula Charter Academy and Spring Creek Charter Academy) to order on Monday Jan 30, 2023 at 5:00 PM.

Approve Agenda

R. Lane made a motion to approve the agenda as presented.
K. Gilbert seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Approve Minutes

R. Lane made a motion to approve the minutes from August 2022 Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 08-29-22.
K. Gilbert seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Academic Excellence

A.

Review Academic Excellence Definition and Indicators

Members reviewed the definition of Academic Excellence for our schools and the indicators of such.

B.

2022 PCA CCRPI Data Comparisons/SCSC Academic CPF

PCA outperformed the local districts in all areas of CCRPI.  The school met on the Academic CPF.

C.

2022 SCCA CCRPI Data Comparisons/SCSC Academic CPF

SCCS outperformed the local districts in all areas of CCRPI when weighted by attendance zone enrollment. The school met on the Academic CPF.

D.

2022 CCRPI Charter Data Comparisons

In most areas both schools fall in the middle of comparisons to charter in SWGA.

PCA Winter 2022 MAP Benchmark Data

Winter MAP show stagnant growth overall, but many grade levels show improved growth.  Winter MAPs usually show a slump in growth comparied to Spring growth scores.  The committee discussed the few grades that didn't show expected growth and the schools discussions of root causes and plans of action.

SCCA Winter 2022 MAP Benchmark Data
