A.

Review Academic Excellence Definition and Indicators

The committee reviewed our definition of academic excellence and the measures we have in place to determine if we are meeting our definition of academic excellence.

B.

2022 Milestones Scores

The committee reviewed several documents from both PCA and SCCA.  These documents included:

  • Our schools' comparisons to the county average of schools we served:  Both schools have exceeded the county averages in most subjects/grade levels.  We anticipate that we will meet charter goal of outperforming the local districts at both schools.
  • A grade level and a cohort comparision for each tested subject at each grade level with an analysis  sheet:  Areas of improvement were highlighted and areas of decline were discussed.
  • Our schools' comparisions to the other charter schools in our area.

The overall consensus is that while Milestone scores are not yet back to pre-COVID status, many things have been put in place to help increase these scores in the future.

C.

CCRPI Dashboard

Data was presented for the past two years at SCCA and the past three years at PCA.  Overall, both schools are looking good on these indicators.

D.

Fall 2022-2023 MAPs Data

The Fall MAP Growth data was presented in several ways.  The first was a projected Milestone Summary report for 2023, and based on the Fall Data, PCA is targeted to improve in most areas.  The projections for SCCA are slightly lower.  In addition, a student growth summary for both schools was presented, and both schools are looking good in terms of student growth.
