Winter 2021 MAP Data Review

  • Overview: 
    • COVID needs to be taken into consideration when it comes to setting goals/projections/analyzing the data. 
    • The disruption in education over the least two years is present in the data in the later grades. 
    • Tutoring has been present to help supplement individual subject support for students. 
    • In math, about 66% of students are at basic or above. 
    • In ELA, seeing a higher percentage of students in unsatisfactory in second grade due to foundational skills that were not solidified. 
    • In ELA, about 70% of students are at basic or above. 
    • There have been some staff transitions in the lower grades. 
  • Ideas:
    • Potential for a parent/student reading engagement night.
    • Review the role of lower interventions and guided reading initiatives. 
    • Bring staff into the problem solving.
    • Considering how to bring families into the weekly learning to allow them to have authentic learning experiences with their students.
