Call the Meeting to Order
Dr. Jahquille Ross called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Laureate Academy Charter School Board of Directors to order on Thursday Jan 22, 2026 at 3:38 PM.

Approve Minutes
Monique Handy made a motion to approve the minutes from September Academic Excellence Meeting on 09-19-25.
Dr. Jahquille Ross seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Teacher Related Updates
A.
Hiring Needs for 25-26 School Year
- SPED Director (full time)
- 3rd Grade Humanities
- 7th/8th STEM (long term in currently)
- 7th/8th Social Studies (long term in currently)
III. Student Enrollment
A.
25-26 Enrollment by Grade Level
- 185 Applicants for next year.
- A team of individuals from the campus are recruiting.
- Reenrollment for next year — making that an option available for families.
- Generally 90% retention.
IV. Student Assessment Data
A.
Middle-of- Year DIBELS
- 3rd, 2nd, and 1st - around the same area at BOY. Some dips in percentages for the performance categories.
- Adjusting the number of skills taught during small group to address the student needs from looking at the data.
- Kindergarten - teachers are very focus. Seeing growth trend upward for this cohort of students.
- Students with IEP - tracking their growth weekly.
B.
Winter ANET Data
- Math (Average) - working on getting teachers back on pace to cover standards preparing for LEAP in Spring 2026.
- Calendar has been prepared for Q3 focus standards.

- 4th - 36%

- 8th - 30%
