Call the Meeting to Order
Dr. Jahquille Ross called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Laureate Academy Charter School Board of Directors to order on Friday Sep 19, 2025 at 12:34 PM.

Approve Minutes
Caitlyn Scales made a motion to approve the minutes from July Academic Excellence Meeting on 07-09-25.
Monique Handy seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Teacher Related Updates
A.
Hiring Needs for 25-26 School Year
- New 6th Grade Humanities
- New 7th/8th Social Studies
- New 3rd/4th Social Studies
- New Interventionist
- Vacancy - Sub
B.
Coaching and PLCs
- We will discus this item next month when more of the leadership team members are available.
III. Student Assessment Data
A.
BOY DIBELS
- 5% higher than the entire country from EOY Dibels from 24-25 school year.
- 59% average from the end of last school year.
- 7 points higher than JP Schools
- 52% on or at above benchmark - Beginning of Year 2025
- Goal is 80% this year by May.
B.
LEAP Data
- Growth in all content areas for Mastery+ since 2023 (ranging from 10-17%).
- Examined cohort and individual data to find trends and bright spots.
- Next step: Claire will dig into the data some more before bringing to teachers to examine.
