Call the Meeting to Order

R. Garcia called a meeting of the Governance Committee of ARISE High School to order on Tuesday Oct 25, 2022 at 5:05 PM.

Approve Resolution to continue remote meetings in accordance with AB 361

M. Iglesias made a motion to Approve.
S. Lopez seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Governance Committee Purpose and Goals 22-23

Discuss Governance Committee for 22-23

Board discusses goals like reframing and recentering our goals. Ana mentions we should include training about best practices and coaching board members. We can tap into FIA and Board on Track. 

III. Closed Session - Employee Evaluation

Plan for HOS Evaluation 22-23

Ask Karla how we can help support her goals—reviewing last year's processes and educating the board. Romeo will gather more information and share out during our November meeting.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM.
