Call the Meeting to Order

J. Obbard called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of ARISE High School to order on Thursday Apr 22, 2021 at 3:08 PM.

Approve Minutes

G. Netter made a motion to approve the minutes from February Talent and Academic Oversight Committee Meeting on 02-09-21.
J. Obbard seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Talent & Academic Oversight

A.

Priority Planning Updates

Pressure testing two priority plans: 1) literacy with emphasis on anchor texts and writing tasks in non-math classes; 2) math with emphasis on curriculum adoption, data inquiry cycles, and intellectual prep. Input was given on measures of success, alignment between problems and plans, and general approaches to the priorities.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 4:20 PM.
