Alekz Hirschmann, Committee Chair, directed attention to Laura Edouard, Principal, who provided updates on Academic Data. Edouard reported that the Q4 Progress Reports were on par or exceeded those of the previous year. She highlighted that Special Education and English Language Learner (EL) students performed better than General Education students. Additionally, she mentioned the success of Saturday MCAS Test Prep sessions and announced upcoming Math MCAS on May 21st and 22nd. Edouard also discussed the possibility of 11th and 12th graders tutoring 10th graders to prepare for the MCAS, promoting community collaboration. She also noted 11th-grade teachers are providing after-school English support and have identified students requiring assistance based on the Q3 Grades tracker. Finally, Edouard reported that leadership meetings with families of students at risk of grade repetition have been conducted, resulting in the formulation of plans for Students for Quarter 4.
