  C. ESS/changes in hiring and benefits Kate Von Glahn/Benjamin Brooks

The Finance Committee recommends shifting the School Nutrition Staff to an employee staffing company, currently ESS, beginning with the FY27 school year. Along with the School Nutrition Staff, new classified hires will be offered employment at BCCS through ESS. No State Health Benefits or TRSGA will be offered through BCCS, however, salary increases will be provided to allow employees to secure health insurance benefits independently or through ESS.

  D. $2000 Supplements Benjamin Brooks/Lynn Pinson

The FY27 State of Georgia Budget funded a one time supplement of $2000 for eligible faculty and staff. The Georgia Department of Education will send funding for $2000 Supplements for 80 of our employees who are currently earned by the QBE Funding Formula.

The Finance Committee recommends funding the remainder of the BCCS Faculty and Staff with $2000 Supplements to be paid from the General Fund. $164,468.00 is the allocation earned by BCCS. The balance will cost BCCS an estimated $100,000.
