K. Shaw called a meeting of the Outreach: Families and Community Committee of Elgin Math & Science Academy to order on Tuesday Feb 23, 2021 at 5:34 PM.

II. Review of David's Work Plan
A.
Goals of the Outreach Committee
K Shaw reviewed mailing with HAE to 1000 families. M Armstrong reported (via text) that the mailing went out Saturday.
D Feinberg, S Said, & K Shaw updated re churches--videos to be shown.
Application numbers have increased slightly at upper grade levels but not at K level.
M Garcia will be going through the list of approx 100 for a second round.
Extra fliers--let K Kelly know where to deliver them.
S Said volunteered to help front desk with calls if needed.

Next Steps
Applications due March 1, lottery is on March 4. Set next meeting to review what worked and develop next year's action plan.
