Call the Meeting to Order
K. Shaw called a meeting of the Outreach: Families and Community Committee of Elgin Math & Science Academy to order on Tuesday Feb 9, 2021 at 5:30 PM.

Approve Minutes
B. Lane made a motion to approve the minutes from Outreach: Families and Community Committee Meeting on 01-26-21.
M. Gibb seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
II. Review of David's Work Plan
A.
Goals of the Outreach Committee
This evening's speaker is Ms Nunez.
Committee updated status of application drop-offs and church outreach.
David updated the numbers--increase of 20. Plus 15 paper ones completed by paper by Melissa.
Discussed best approach with Housing Authority--follow-up with Martell tomorrow.
Fliers--Melissa is delivering to local restaurants, including food boxes, pizza boxes, hair salons. She will deliver to preschools by Friday--David will call for numbers.
EMSA will join Elgin Hispanic Network--Sarah can attend meetings.
