B. | COO Report on Construction
Construction is proceeding "apace" on the Admin Building, and on track for completion approximately August 10, 2023. Information being sent out to Staff and Parents, semi-monthly. Positive feedback from two additional parents, last message.
So far all of the construction has been interior. Exterior construction will commence at the end of April, to begin sealing the building foundations. Lots of activity & subcontractors on site every day. No known material supply/schedule delays, but still monitoring closely.
There is a slightly revised design as noted in March Meeting - switch of 1st floor bathroom and Sped/ML program room locations. See attached floor plans.
Another two smaller changes are going to be made in usage of the space:
1. Upper floor copier to be moved to large teacher's lounge, leaving a small room dedicated for parent/staff conference purposes. 2. Nurse will be in larger room downstairs, and small room near entry will be used as third educational program space (swap).

C. | Campus Planning--Update on Parking Focus
Kerry here, just adding this info: Contact Walnut Timber Buyers If you are looking to sell your walnut trees in Illinois or Missouri, please contact us at 309-354-3953 or fill out our online form. We will be in touch within 24 hours. DA Question for discussion: would EMSA consider selling all of the campus walnut trees, and planting oaks instead? Would likely get better cash for walnut trees with more to sell, and result in planting opportunities for oak saplings. The recommended Walnut Tree buyer specifically asks if a property owner has 20 walnut trees or more, to sell.
The Committee had requested to examine different options for the parking construction, asphalt and pavers.
Bulley feels a $5,000 cost of excavation is likely, and a $5,000 cost for Contingency. The cost of removal of the two non-oak trees would be separate, and still have to be determined - my guess would be in the area of $5,000 - $8,000 for full removal of two trees, but that might be a bit "heavy" in assumed cost.
Bulley has gotten multiple proposals and they say the total cost including excavation and contingency, but not tree removal would be:
Asphalt: $26,400. Pavers: $55,400.
Pavers would be Unilock 5x10 Eco-Priora permeable concrete pavers, herribone pattern with soldier course border, Standard finish, River with Sierra color.
Void filler would be Indiana Chip void filler aggregate. Contractor would provide aluminum edge restraints adjacent to landscape.
