For the 2022-23 School Year, LCPS leadership proposes the following dates for our board meetings:

Note: Moving from 6 meetings to 8 meetings per year; Usually the first Wednesday of the Month (as OUSD Board Meetings run on the 2nd and 4th week of each month); Alternating focus from Fiscal/Administrative to Academic/Program.  6pm to 8pm - if closed session, start at 5:30.

Key Items:

• Including a Certificate of Completion for select Special Education 
• Phasing out AB 104 (which provided additional flexibility for high school students impacted by Distance Learning)
• Clarity aligned to both high schools, state regulations, and A-G requirements
• Consideration for Board:  Adding college course requirements aligned to our Dashboard (goal: % of students who complete 9 college credits by graduation)

• Engagement:  This year, both Lighthouse and Lodestar went through their evaluations with WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).  Through that process, feedback on our LCPA and Strategic Priorities was provided through multiple staff and family focus groups, interviews, and reflection process.
