Public Comment Rules for Agenda and Non-Agenda Items: 

Members of the public may address the School Board or Committee, as applicable, on agenda and non-agenda items either in person or through the teleconference platform, Zoom, during the time allocation for public comment.


For those participating in person: 

Please fill out the Public Comment form and provide it to the administrative staff.


For those participating via Zoom: 

Zoom does not require members of the public to have an account or login. Please either utilize the chat option to communicate to the administrative team your desire to address the School Board or Committee, as applicable, during this time or simply communicate orally your desire to address the School Board when the School Board or Commitee, as applicable, asks for public comments. Please state whether you are speaking on an agenda item or a non-agenda item.  


Speakers may be called in the order requests are received. Comments are limited to 2 minutes each, with no more than 15 minutes per single topic.  If a member of the public utilizes a translator to address the School Board or Commitee, as applicable, those members of the public are allotted 4 minutes each to accommodate translation time. 


By law, the School Board or Committee, as applicable, is allowed to take action only on items on the agenda. However, the School Board or Committee, as applicable, may, at its discretion, refer a matter to school staff or calendar the issue for future discussion.
