II. Academic Performance: SY25 MCAS Performance Overview 11:14 AM

Purpose:
To review SY25 MCAS results with a focus on growth, subgroup performance, and peer comparisons, and to discuss whether our current school goals and metrics are calibrated to drive the right kind of literacy acceleration for all students, particularly SWD and MLLs.

 

Key Questions for the Outcomes Committee to Address:

  • Does the data support shifting our annual school goals to weight growth more heavily while keeping the 3-year literacy proficiency target?
  • What 1–2 MCAS-related metrics (achievement and growth) should the Board monitor most closely over the next year to judge progress on the strategic literacy pillar?
