Clarksdale Collegiate's Board meets in the Abrams Library Classroom on the K-6 Campus (1012 W 2nd Street). 

Mission: Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School prepares scholars in the Mississippi Delta to excel in high school and college by providing rigorous instruction within a structured, ambitious, and jubilant school community.

Call the Meeting to Order

A. Jones-Taylor called a meeting of the board of directors of Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School to order on Monday Jun 22, 2026 at 5:31 PM.

Approve Minutes from April 27, 2026 Board Meeting

C. Rutledge made a motion to approve the minutes from Monthly Board Meeting on 04-27-26.
S. Howell seconded the motion.

No changes were requested.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Executive Director's Report

A.

Executive Director's Report

ED Amanda Johnson gave an update on planning for the 2026-27 school year focusing on staffing and enrollment. She also shared the initial 3rd grade reading results which were the only state testing results available by the meeting. Clarksdale Collegiate 3rd grade scholars passed at a 70.0% rate on the reading portion of the ELA MAAP assessment, a slight improvement over last year's 69.3% outperforming the two local districts again this year.

III. Committee Reports

A.

Finance Committee

Katie Wise, GT3, provided a detailed update of the school's financials up to May 31, 2026 and answered questions. She also presented the FY27 budget for review and for approval.

C. Rutledge made a motion to approve the FY27 budget and the updated enrollment targets.
S. Howell seconded the motion.

The board discussed the updated enrollment targets which are slightly lower than the contracted enrollment. The enrollment targets and FY27 budget were approved together.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
C. Rutledge made a motion to approve the May 2026 financial report.
S. Howell seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

B.

Facility Task Force

David Endom and Rob Tate, Level Field Partners, provided an update from the Board's Facility Take Force. The discussion topics included the progress on refinancing the existing debt on our K-6 campus, design and acquisition updates for our future 7-12 campus, and lease details for our temporary location for our current 7th-10th grade scholars.

C. Rutledge made a motion to approve and sign the board resolution to enter into a loan with HOPE for our existing K-6 campus.
S. Howell seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

C. Rutledge made a motion to delegate to the Facility Task Force the authority to finalize and approve the CCC lease extension.
S. Howell seconded the motion.
