Head of School's Report
Dr. Smith reports on sharing broad communication with the TSAS community about the hopeful purchase of the building on March 6, 2026. Press releases about the building purchases for all the Tulsa charters were shared today. Last Friday we had a large branch fall in the front of the building which was immedaitely follwed by professional trimming of 4 trees. There are two trees that are damaged and have a fungal infection that will also need to come down. We are working to have them removed soon. Becuase this is a priority school safety concern we will use our school resource officer funds for those services. Spring break will start next week, March 16th-20th, and we have an architectural tour on Saturday, March 14th.

Principal's Report
Dr. Hahn starts the Principal's report by noting our big instructional push is on data while keeping in mind not to overload teachers. We recently met with some companies to discuss the popular topic of dashboards. These companies pull multiple sorts of data into a place where a teacher, counselor, or administrator can access all information on one slide. The companies were too expensive for us, but Jesse Stallings has created some things that have helped us get pretty close to the product the companies are selling. We rolled out beta testing for teachers on our last PLC day and received a lot of positive feedback. We are zeroing in on MAP data. MAP is a product of a larger company that measures student’s academic progress and this data gives us a good picture of how the school is doing as a whole. There is nothing that says we are in bad shape. We have strong data for 7th and 8th grade, 56th and 60th percentile in the country. Math and reading are low in grade 6 at TSAS as well as across the country and growth is in the 29th percentile. We also have a high concentration of students receiving special services in 6th grade, and we are currently discussing resources to better assist them. High school is strong. 10th grade is in the 63rd percentile, 11th grade is the 59th percentile and one thing that comes out of the data is that growth data rises the longer a student is attending TSAS, which is ideal. At the moment, 11th grade is in the 84th percentile in both math and reading performance data. Middle school math is our biggest academic concern right now. Reading growth is a slight achievement, and we expect to have really strong growth over time. We are doing well in terms of student percentages that we test.

All TSAS admin will be presenters as well. Senior graduation will be held at TU on May 29, 2026, at 7:00p.

Shane Murphy, a CPA with Bledsoe, Hewett & Gullekson gave a quick overview of the financial audit administered February 12, 2026. Reports of pages 5-7, 8-9, and 11, there is nothing worth noting. Page 14 shows we brought in $134,000 more than we expended. Page 15, the special revenue funds, shows we expended $0 and brought in $80,000. Shane reports only one finding was identified for the Child Nutrition Program. There was a discrepancy with the previous food vendors reporting meals served compared to the claims submitted. There is already a plan in place and TSAS is currently using a different vendor, which is wonderful. This is the only recommendation made because our systems are so clean. The auditor said that he appreciated Ashanti having everything out, organized and ready for them when they arrived.
