This special board meeting has been called to discuss, approve, and sign the PCM Charter School Contract proposed by the Washington State Charter School Commission.

You should have attended or watched the 90 minute CSC: New Schools Contract Webinar hosted by Josh Halsey, Executive Director of the Washington State Charters Schools Commission, on Wednesday August 26th. Please come to the board meeting ready for a quick discussion to clarify any questions you have outstanding.  It would be most helpful for your questions to be sent to the HOS at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting to ensure your questions can be addressed adequately in the meeting. Any proposed amendments should be written (citing text and page number of contract) and ready to post in the chat. 

The original Draft Charter Contract can be found HERE.  The HOS has worked since it was presented to address questions and update outdated attachments.  Please review the UPDATED Draft Charter Contract carefully and send any questions to me in advance to ensure I can fully answer your question in the meeting.  Your question will be presented and answered in the actual Board meeting to ensure transparency.  Please be particularly attentive to the table on Page 72.

The Commission sent us a request to re-examine our Bylaws to comply with OPMA.  This document outlines the Commission Questions & Concerns.

I sent the requests to Steven O Andersen on Friday 8/28/20.  He re-examined the sections of concern and updated the PCM Bylaws accordingly.  Please examine the UPDATED Bylaws beginning on page 59 of the Updated PCM Charter School Contract.
