Call the Meeting to Order
C. Menifee called a meeting of the Development Committee Committee of Miles Ahead Charter School to order on Thursday Dec 7, 2023 at 7:35 PM.

Approve Minutes
C. Menifee made a motion to approve the minutes from Development Committee Monthly Meeting on 11-02-23.
E. Quackenbush seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Development Committee
A.
Giving Tuesday Recap
- Charles recognized there was an error in the reporting from Giving Tuesday. There may be two different ways to give. Both Charles and Erin do not see their donations. Charles will follow up with Kolt to see if donations are going to another source other than the Paypal link given.
- Future thoughts for next year: Is there another platform to use for donations as donations are having to pay PayPal a fee for every donation. Is there a non-profit option?
- Erin will inquire from another institution if there is another platform that will allow a fee to not be taken
- Social Media Manager needs to be available during Giving Tuesday in advance and the Giving Tuesday needs to be pushed more in advance. Will be brought up during next board meeting
- Erin suggested to run a campaign at another time of the year opposed to everyone being bombarded during Giving Tuesday
- Suggestions for other times for Campaigns: Back to School, Gearing up for the next school year, "Fund our 5th Grade," during tax season with tax refunds

- Studies have shown that 31% of people donate in December

Fundraising
- Goal to raise 20k for playground and lunch balances
- Fundraise for expanding Fifth Grade, Upcoming Kindergarten Class
- Angel will ask PTO what fundraisers they are standing behind based off survey
- Ask at board meeting when will we as a school be qualified for free and reduced lunch?
C.
Parent Engagement
- Craft a letter to PTO to begin a partnership and see how they can be of assistance
- Angel will craft the letter
