U. Sayers called a meeting of the Governance Committee Committee of Miles Ahead Charter School to order on Thursday Aug 6, 2026 at 7:07 PM.

H. Lust made a motion to approve the minutes from MACS Monthly Governance Meeting on 06-04-26.
U. Sayers seconded the motion.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 7:23 PM.

Dr. Henry Smith was appointed as the Chair of the Governance Committee and Uso Sayers was appointed as the Vice Chair & Secretary of the Committee.
Henry Lust and Uso Sayers provide Dr. Smith with an update on the Committee operations and policy updates. Mr Lust and Ms Sayers shared the link to the policy tracker and all policies that were updated during the last fiscal year.
Dr. Smith was briefed on the SCSC newsletter and how the Governance Committee receives updates regarding governing requirements. Dr. Smith will subscribe to the SCSC newsletter.
