Superintendent Comments
- We continue to use Parent Square, a school-wide communication system, in which teachers can also give parents individualized updates on their students.
- Students, and especially in upper classes, are generally demonstrating a desire to learn and get good grades, taking advantage of imbedded offering times of receiving assistance with schoolwork.
- Truancy Prevention
- Parent education has been provided in regards to on-time attendance and seems to be well-received. There is now an on-line form that will help parents to write absence reasons that will be easier to regarded as excused absences.
- Homework
- All grades have math and reading homework, and upper levels have science and social studies in addition.
- Homework is designed for students to be able to accomplish on their own.
- This is also regarded as a building a life skill of receiving an assigned task and completing it.
- School Events are well-attended
- Meet the Teacher Night before beginning of school was a picnic event where parents helped grill hot dogs
- Grandparent day
- Athletics and Activities
- Pep Squad
- Cheer
- Co-ed Flag Football
