Enrollment and Attendance
1. Attendance is at 95.18%, which is increasing. There are 5-6 families in the Truancy Program, most for monitoring.
2. Enrollment: 168. We already have 7 applications for next year. For recruitment, we are looking at geo-fencing at the nearby HEB (one of the largest) for HEB customers. It remains to be seen how the new Texas school voucher system will affect enrollment.

Superintendent Comments
1. Planning meetings are taking place for the 8th grade trip to Italy. The lock-in rate of $95 is due this week.
2. Family Engagement: 100% attendance for 6th grade parent meetings.
3. Book fair had good attendance.
Ms. Lewis reviewed the middle of year (MOY) testing results. In math students are growing faster than the national average, with overall achievement rising from 57th to 59 percentile. In reading there was consistent improvement moving up to 55th percentile , and above the national average for progress. There was also growth in language, rising to 56th percentile with the schoolwide median growth of 63rd percentile, significantly exceeding national progress expectations. In all areas we are closing the gaps reducing the number of students in the lowest performing bracket (1-20th percentile) by 1-5%.
